    US$65.00 tuition*.

    Application deadline is one week prior to the begining of each session.

Daily Schedule

Daily Hours and Schedule

  • Two hours of formal taiji teaching per day.
  • Four hours of self training per day.
  • Two hours of language, culture and other related experiences per day.
  • 6:00 am to 8:00 am Taijiquan training
  • 9:00am to 11:30 am
    Mandarin Chinese lessons. Those who opt out of
    this program can use the outdoor training facility.
  • 11:30 am to 2:00pm
    Lunch break and nap time.
  • 2:00pm to 6:00pm
    Self Training and Review time
  • 7:00pm to 9:00pm
    Informal lectures, instructor led reviews, instructional videos and other entertainments. The multipurpose room is available.

This schedule serves as a general guideline. It may change slightly from time to time.

Other Services

Other Facilities and Services

  • Free Services:
    • There will be free tea and drinking water (boiled or cold) at all times.
    • All bedding and required hotel linens will be provided.
    • Rooms will be cleaned and sheets washed no less than once a week.
    • Shared bathrooms with showers.
      Bathing towels are provided.
    • Outdoor sheltered training facility.
    • Hot water supply.
    • 220 volts power supply.
    • Two prong/three prong power plugs.
    • Extension cords.
    • Satellite TVs with some English channels in the rooms and in the multipurpose room.
    • Karaoke machines with thousands of songs in English and Chinese, Projector/screen set up, VCD/DVD player in the Thousand Crane Room (recreational room).
    • High speed internet connection. Free with your own computer.
    • Thousand Crane Room is for students during the day and till 10 pm on weekdays and 24 hours on weekends.
    • The library in the Thousand Crane room is free for students.
    • There is a guitar (given to the school by David Dahms in 2006) that students can use. There is also a Chinese horizontal harp that can be used. Currently it is in the reception room.
    • There will be swords, broad swords, and staff for practice use.
    • Free weekend shuttle bus/car to the Town of Wulian (9 km).
    • When the water is warm enough for swimming (government announced water temperature, not what we think are warm enough), there will be free transportation to the beach of Rizhao (58 km) on weekends. This is usually from July to the end of August.
    • We are still trying to set up massage service for students. If successful, it will be one free 45-minute massage per week. We cannot guarantee this service at this point, though it looks that it will happen.
  • Services for a fee:
    • Massage will be US$5.00 per 45-minute session.
    • Laundry service will be US$1.00 per load. There are two washing machines at the facility currently. Students are not allowed to operate the washing machines on their own.
    • Coffee is available at US$0.50 per cup.
    • US$30.00 will be charged to use the school computer for internet connection for three months.
      Or US$10.00 per month. Minimum is US$10.00.
    • A vehicle will be available to students with a nominal fee. A driver will be provided. This is like a private taxi service. This service must be booked a least a day ahead of time. Cost will be the same as local taxi service.
    • Practice shoes are available for students. They are US$4.00 per pair currently.
