What to Pack

  • Important Items not to Forget. 
    • 1. Wallet with picture id.
    •  2. Passport, Visa, and travel itinerary.
    • 3. Copies of Passport, Visa and travel itinerary.
    • 4. Traveler’s Checks, Cash, Credit Card.
  • Clothing
    • 1. Consider the climate when you pack.
    • 2. Easy care, quick drying clothes.
    • 3. Don’t over pack; you can always buy underwear and socks there.
    • 4. Something acceptable for going out to eat and meeting dignitaries.
    • 5. 2 sets of work out clothes.
    • 6. Training shoes.
    • 7. Comfortable walking shoes.
  • Medicine
    • 1. Your personal prescriptions
    • 2. Cipromax for stomach
    • 3. Ginger Tea for stomach
    • 4. Acidophilus for bowels
    • 5. Imodium for bowels
    • 6. Antiseptic soap
    • 7. Vitamins
    • 8. Polysporin and bandaids
    • 9. Disposable hand wipes
  • Electrical
    • 1. The voltage in China is 220 volts 50Hz. Make sure your electrical equipment is rated for this. Most modern stuff is, but check. If your equipment won’t run on this it is best to get a voltage converter/transformer.

June 2008 trip to China

A group of students led by Gordon Muir from Victoria, BC, Canada are visiting Daqingshan next year. Daqingshan is part of a 3-week trip to China from the Victoria group. Anyone who is interested in participating is welcome to contact Gordon Muir regarding this.

The cost will be $2500.00 from Victoria. Those who are departing from other cities will have their fee calculated according to their locations.
