Full Time Introduction
What
Many seek the great benefits we recognize as the fruits of the vast depth of wisdom and experience held in the traditions of taijiquan. But many also find the attainment of true skills can be quite elusive for most students. Genuine training methods to achieve the higher levels are unique and not commonly accessible for most students in their local areas. Hunyuan Taiji Academy has now created the program to provide these methods. Under the direct guidance of Chen Zhonghua, and masters of different disciplines from China, this program offers systematic training in two streams from an unbroken line of transmission: the Style Taijiquan Practical Method of Grandmaster Hong Junsheng and Hunyuan Taiji of Grandmaster Feng Zhiqiang. Â
How
The full time program at Daqingshan is designed to provide a complete saturation in martial skills and ancient practices of rejuvenation through these two systems. You can come to the mountain for full time training (weeks, months, or years) in these two systems, while enjoying the great benefits of all the natural elements of the pristine environment of the mountain. It is our belief that this combination will greatly enhance anyone’s vitality and well-being. Indeed, students who have participated in the program so far have enthusiastically testified to this. (Click here to see testimonials from participants.)
When
For 2007, the program is available May 10 through August 10. During these three months, students can participate in the following ways: one week, monthly, or for the entire three month program. For details on the options click on the links at the top or bottom of this page.
Where
The program runs on the Daqingshan mountain in Rizhao, Shandong, China. It is conveniently located at a crossroad among Jinan, Qingdao, and Rizhao. It is 2.5 hours from Jinan; 2 hours from Qingdao; 1 hour from Weifang and 0.5 hour from Rizhao. Shandong is home of martial arts and the province where Grandmaster Hong Junsheng spent his entire teaching years.
Master
Master Chen Zhonghua is the first person to teach Chen Style Taijiquan Practical Method and the Hunyuan Taiji system on a full time basis. He is a 19th generation master of Chen Style Taijiquan from the Hong Junsheng lineage. In 2004, he was appointed as International Standard Bearer of the Hong Junsheng system of Chen Style Taijiquan. He is also a second generation master of the Hunyuan Taiji system of Grandmaster Feng Zhiqiang.
Students
People come to Daqingshan for two reasons. One is for total rejuvenation of health through the art of Taijiquan and an pristine environment. The other reason is to enhance their taijiquan skills. This includes ability to demonstrate the routines and the ability to defend yourselves. The program accepts both beginners and seasoned practitioners. The head instructor, Master Chen Zhonghua, is known as the master of teachers. People with many years of training will find their understanding and ability improve in quantum ways. Click here to see a list of previous students.
